Colour Pop Office
The clients were keen to maintain a neutral colour palette with playful pops of primary colours to inject vibrancy into the space. To achieve this, a warm white was used throughout – including on the skirting, windowsill, doors and architrave – creating a clean, timeless backdrop that allows bolder accents to shine. In the office area, a soft sky blue was chosen to zone the workspace and introduce a striking contrast that complements the yellow tones in the curtains and sofa. The result is a cheerful and uplifting atmosphere, with distinct yet harmonious areas for work and relaxation.
To further enhance the space, accents of colour were thoughtfully introduced through artwork, cushions and houseplants. These finishing touches not only tie the colour scheme together, but also bring a sense of warmth, texture and personality to the room – making it feel both inviting and creatively energising.
As the room needed to function both as a home office and a guest bedroom, the existing double bed was replaced with a comfortable sofa bed. This simple change opened up the floor space, allowing for a more spacious and flexible layout during the day, while still offering a practical sleeping solution when needed.
